Returns, Withdrawal, and Warranty Policy

We take great care to process and ship your order correctly. Should you nevertheless wish to return a product, exchange it, or report an issue, you will find our return terms below.

Returns and Right of Withdrawal

• As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receipt.
• To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision to withdraw from the purchase by email within this 14-day period.
• Following your notice of withdrawal, you have a maximum of 14 days to return the relevant items to us.
• Returns can only be sent by mail or courier service to the return address listed below. Returning or dropping off items at a physical location is not possible.
• The shipping costs and risk of the return shipment are borne by the customer, except where we have demonstrably delivered an incorrect product or where otherwise agreed with us.

Conditions for Returns

• To receive a full refund, we ask that you handle the product with care and, as far as reasonably possible, return it complete, unused, and in its original packaging, including all associated parts, accessories, manuals, labels, and any other materials supplied.
• You may only handle and inspect a product to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning.
• If a product has been used, assembled, damaged, or handled beyond what is necessary to evaluate it, or if parts, accessories, or packaging are missing or damaged, we reserve the right to deduct the resulting loss in value from the refund amount.
• All returns are inspected upon receipt before the refund is processed.

LEGO and Other Collectibles

• For LEGO sets, collectibles, and other products where the original seal and packaging form an essential part of the commercial or collector value, we ask that you take extra care with the item and its packaging.
• Opening or damaging seals, boxes, or packaging can cause a significant reduction in value. If the resale value of the item is reduced as a result, this loss in value may be set off against the refund amount, as permitted by law.
• Therefore, do not damage the product packaging and do not use the original product box directly as a shipping box for your return.

Exchanges

• Would you like to exchange an item? You can use the same return procedure outlined above.
• We do not perform direct exchanges for regular return items. To receive the desired replacement item, please place a new order.

• Personal drop-off of return shipments at this address is not possible.
• We recommend sending your return via a trackable shipping method.
• Always retain your proof of postage, tracking number, and, if available, proof of delivery clearly showing our return address as the destination.
• We cannot accept responsibility for return shipments that are lost or damaged during transit by your chosen carrier.

Refunds

• Following a valid withdrawal, we will refund the amount due using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
• We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.
• In the event of a full order withdrawal, the original standard delivery costs will also be refunded to the extent required by law. Any additional costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method will not be refunded.
• If you only return part of your order and the original delivery costs would have remained unchanged as a result, these original delivery costs will not be refunded.

Incorrectly Delivered Product

• Did you receive a different product than the one you ordered? Please contact us before returning the item.
• Once we confirm that an incorrect product was delivered, we will provide a suitable return option or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.
• Do not return an incorrectly delivered item at our expense without prior consultation.

Damage or Defect Upon Receipt

• Your statutory rights regarding defective, damaged, or non-conforming products remain fully unaffected.
• If an item arrives damaged or defective, please contact our customer service as soon as possible and provide clear photos of the item, the product packaging, and—if relevant—the shipping box.
• Do not discard the original packaging and shipping box while your report is being processed. These may be necessary to assess the damage or its cause, or to file a claim with the carrier.
• Once the defect or incorrect delivery is confirmed, we will provide an appropriate solution and, if applicable, a free return label or reimbursement of reasonable return costs.

Warranty

• Statutory warranty rights apply to all products covered by a warranty.
• A reported defect may be inspected by us or by the manufacturer to determine its cause.
• Damage resulting from improper or incorrect use, external damage, unauthorized modifications, or other causes not attributable to the product itself is excluded from warranty coverage to the extent permitted by law.

Returns from Outside the European Union

• For returns sent from countries outside the European Union, customs formalities, import duties, and other charges may apply.
• These charges are to be borne by the sender, unless expressly agreed otherwise in advance.
• When sending an international return, clearly state that it concerns "Returned Goods" and follow your carrier's instructions for proper customs documentation.
• Any import duties, administrative fees, or other costs arising from a return shipment not being correctly declared as a return may be charged to the sender.

Governing Language and Interpretation

The Dutch version of this Returns, Withdrawal, and Warranty Policy is the sole binding and official text. In the event of any discrepancy, error, omission, or contradiction between the Dutch version and this English translation, the provisions of the Dutch version shall prevail, and no liability can be claimed against Brickworld based on the English version.
